Accessibility

1. Our Commitment
Anaskela is committed to making its digital content accessible to as broad an audience as reasonably possible, regardless of ability, assistive technology or environment.
2. Standards We Follow
Our aim is to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Our site is designed to work with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack), zoom up to 200%, keyboard-only navigation, reduced-motion preferences, and dark-mode preferences.
3. Accessibility Features
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
- Semantic HTML throughout: proper heading hierarchy, landmark roles, labelled form controls.
- Images carry meaningful alternative text; decorative images are marked as such.
- Colour contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for larger text.
- Keyboard focus is always visible.
- Error messages on forms are announced to screen readers.
- Carousels can be paused and advanced manually.
4. Known Limitations
- Our site-wide dark mode is still in private beta.
- Some older Journal articles may have images without ideal alt text.
- Our checkout is operated by our payment provider.
5. Feedback
If you encounter a barrier, write to [email protected] with a description of the page, the problem and (if possible) the technology you were using.
